NEW DELHI: Dileep has approached the Supreme Court seeking speedy completion of the trial in the actress assault case. Dileep had alleged in the petition that the government is conspiring to delay the trial till the judge changes his position. Dileep's move comes at a time when the government has approached SC seeking more time to complete the trial. Supreme Court is set to hear the petition tomorrow.

"The trial should be completed quickly. Balachandra Kumar's revelations cannot be trusted. Balachandra Kumar is a hired witness by the probe team. The government wants to delay the trial until the judge relocated. The government had earlier requested to remove the judge", Dileep alleged in his affidavit.

A bench comprising justices A.M. Khanwilker and C.T. A Ravi Kumar will consider the petition. The government had yesterday asked the court to consider the petition as a matter of urgency. Earlier, the apex court had directed that the trial be completed by February 16.
