The case has been filed against Pavithran on charges of trying to create riots by insulting caste, bringing the revenue department into disrepute, and trying to insult womanhood.
Pavithran was taken into custody at 2:30 pm today. Pavithran posted an objectionable comment this morning from the profile 'Pavi Anandashramam'. The words in the post were full of obscenity and insulting womanhood. His post said Ranjitha met with the accident because she had taken leave from the Kerala government and gone abroad.
In another post shared under Ranjitha's picture, Pavithran had also commented let her reach greater heights.
The post was deleted from social media soon after it stoked a controversy. However, screenshots of the post were widely circulated. Action was taken against Pavithran earlier for his post on social media against former minister and Kanhangad MLA E Chandrasekharan.
