Swapna Suresh’s mother writes to centre requesting to ensure her health and safety

KOCHI: A letter has been sent to the central government requesting to ensure the health of Swapna Suresh, lodged in Thiruvananthapuram jail as a COFEPOSA prisoner in the gold smuggling case. Swapna's mother wrote the letter to the Central Economic Intelligence Bureau.

The letter asserts that there is a possibility of Swapna contracting the pandemic in the prison. Her safety should be ensured as she has other health issues.

Based on the letter, the COFEPOSA wing wrote a letter to the jail authorities. They have asked to inform the present situation and the arrangements taken.
