Youths stabbed and hit with beer bottle in Pattom; three arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three people have been arrested for attacking a youth and his friends with beer bottles after they questioned an assault on their friend. The incident took place on a side road near Kendriya Vidyalaya at Pattom, where the attackers allegedly hit the victims on the head with beer bottles. The accused were arrested by the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Police.

The arrested persons are Pathanamthitta native Jithin, Thiruvananthapuram native Shyam Kumar and Neyyattinkara native Deepu. The attack happened around 12:30 am last Sunday.

According to the police, the accused verbally abused the youths, attacked them with a beer bottle, and stabbed them, causing injuries. The accused were produced before the court and remanded. Police said that the investigation is continuing to identify and arrest the remaining accused in the case.
