13-year-old boy drowns in temple pond in Cherthala

CHERTHALA: In a tragic incident, a Class 8 student drowned while bathing with his friends at a temple pond in Cherthala. The incident took place at the Sasthankal temple pond in Puthiyakavu, Cherthala. The deceased has been identified as Abhijith (13), a Class 8 student at Kandamangalam HS School. He is the son of Vayalar native Vishnu and Soumya.
