THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister V Sivankutty responded to UDF convenor Adoor Prakash’s statement that actor Dileep has got justice in the actress attack case. Sivankutty said Adoor Prakash's opinion is not that of the Left. Adoor Prakash's opinion will be the official stance of his party. Sivankutty clarified that the government will approach the higher court in this case. The government is with the survivor then and now. He added that the people will decide whether Adoor Prakash's opinion is correct. He was speaking to the media after casting his vote.
Adoor Prakash told media Tuesday morning that he has a close relationship with Dileep and that the actor has got justice in the case. 'As an actress, we are with her. However, everyone needs justice. Dileep has got justice. He is directly related to me more than just being an artist. The court itself gave justice to Dileep. Dileep himself has said that it was a fabricated case led by a high-ranking police officer. The government used the arrest for political gains. The government will appeal as they don’t have any other job. This is a government that thinks about whom to harm and they are ready to fabricate any case,' said Adoor Prakash.
Meantime, Sivankutty stepped forward against former DGP and BJP leader R Sreelekha for sharing the pre-poll survey results on social media. Sivankutty said that sharing the survey was a violation of the code of conduct. He added that appropriate action will be taken. Sreelekha shared the survey results that the NDA has an advantage in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Sreelekha is the candidate from Sasthamangalam ward.
