THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Several dignitaries have contributed to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the victims of the Wayanad Mundakkai disaster. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan himself informed this in a press conference.
Lulu Group Chairman Dr. MA Yusuff Ali, prominent businessman Ravi Pillai and Kalyan Jewelers owner Kalyana Raman have announced financial assistance of Rs 5 crore each. Vizhinjam Port Adani Group has also announced Rs 5 crore. Other contributions include KSFE Rs 5 crore, Canara Bank Rs 1 crore, KMML Rs 50 lakh, Women Development Corporation Rs 30 lakh and Oushadhi Chairperson Shobhana George Rs 10 lakh.
Five crore rupees announced by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu was handed over by Tamil Nadu Public Works Minister EV Velu. Actor Vikram has handed over Rs.20 lakhs. Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama Trust has announced a donation of Rs 11 lakh. All ministers have also decided to donate one month's salary to the relief fund. All those who can, are requested to donate to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, said the Chief Minister.
