Drunk passenger pushed Sreekutty off the train; shoulder surgery required for 19-year-old girl

KOCHI: The 19-year-old girl who was seriously injured after being pushed off a train by a drunken passenger has been discharged from the hospital. Sreekutty, a native of Palode, Thiruvananthapuram, was undergoing treatment at Amrita Hospital in Kochi for months as she was in a critical condition due to the impact of the fall from the train. She has made significant progress in her health. Sreekutty's mother said that she is beyond grateful to the doctors, nurses and hospital authorities who treated her daughter.

"My daughter is still unable to walk without assistance. She will walk on his own after another month. Sreekutty is being taken to the Ayurvedic Hospital in Malappuram for treatment including physiotherapy. She will have to return here for further treatment. She needs to undergo surgery on her shoulder," said Sreekutty's mother.
