High temperature: Yellow alert issued in eight districts

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A yellow alert has been issued in eight districts amid rising temperatures in the state. By Thursday, the maximum temperature is likely to reach 38°C in Palakkad. In Kollam, Kottayam, and Thrissur, temperatures may rise up to 37°C. Meanwhile, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, and Ernakulam are expected to record up to 36°C.

On Wednesday, Palakkad recorded the highest temperature at 37.2°C, while Thiruvananthapuram registered 36.7°C. There is also a possibility of isolated thunderstorms with rain from Thursday to Saturday.
