THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that Kerala is likely to receive light rain with thunder and lightning until March 20th. The possibility of rain has increased due to the influence of two cyclonic circulations over the Arabian Sea and a trough of low pressure extending from the Bay of Bengal to Kanyakumari.
Meanwhile, high daytime temperatures continue across all districts in the state. An orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki districts. On Sunday, the highest temperature of 37°C was recorded in Palakkad and Punalur.
