Kootickal tragedy: Body parts recovered from Plappally, will be sent for DNA testing

KOTTAYAM: The body parts of an elderly man were recovered from the landslide site at Plappally in Kootickal. Body parts except two legs were found during a search conducted by the locals at Thalungal. The body parts have been shifted to the Kanjirappally Taluk Hospital.

The locals began the search after the doctors, who performed the post-mortem of a 12-year-old boy, found that the legs obtained with the body belonged to an elderly man. A DNA test will be conducted soon.
