KSRTC with helping hand to civil service aspirants; bus service to all exam centers on Sunday

KOCHI: KSRTC to conduct special service for civil service examination in which 23666 students will participate in 61 examination centers in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode districts. For the examination to be held on June 16, KSRTC has introduced special services, including long-distance services, depending on the examination centres.

Depending on the traffic, special service trips will be made from all units to Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode districts on Saturday evening and Sunday morning and afternoon. In the same way, adequate bus service will be provided for the students returning after the examination. Arrangements have also been made for this. Electric buses will be operated in Thiruvananthapuram by connecting the exam centres and adjusting the timings.
KSRTC has recently decided to implement a destination numbering system in buses. KSRTC will prepare place name boards with universally accepted numbers to avoid language barriers and reduce confusion related to place names.
In the first phase, from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod, district-based numbering system from 1 to 14 will be provided, and special numbers will be given to railway stations, airports, medical colleges, civil stations, tourist centers etc.
