THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan filed an affidavit in the court, stating that the most looting in Sabarimala took place during Kadakampally Surendran’s tenure as Devaswom Minister. The affidavit was filed in the defamation case filed by Kadakampally against Satheesan. The affidavit was filed in the Thiruvananthapuram Sub Court 3.
“Kadakampally, as a minister, has the same responsibility as officials and Devaswom Board members in the Sabarimala gold looting that took place between 2016 and 2021.” The affidavit also stated that the state government carry the full responsibility to protect and maintain the temples and the properties coming under the Devaswom.
Satheesan also presented documents related to this in the court. The documents were presented to refute Kadakampally's argument that the government has no right or responsibility in temple matters.
