THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former chief minister Oommen Chandy, who underwent a surgery in Berlin, Germany has returned to the state. He reached the capital city Thursday early morning at 2 am. Although he is healthy, the doctors have advised complete rest for a few more days.
Chandy went to Germany for expert treatment on November 6. He was treated at the Charite Hospital in Berlin, one of the largest medical universities in Europe. He underwent a laser surgery. He was accompanied by his children Maria Oommen, Achu Oommen and Chandy Oommen and Benny Bahanan MP.
Charite Hospital has a tradition of 312 years of functioning. 11 Nobel laureates have worked as researchers here.
