ALUVA: Aluva native Sriman Narayan who was referred in the 'Mann Ki Bath' by Prime Minister said that this recognition is due to the blessings of the birds who thirst were fulfilled. Ten years ago, during a journey he saw a small bird dying without receiving water and that sight forced him to start 'Lifewater for birds' (Paravakalkkum jeevajalam) mission.

He received this appreciation as the number of containers for providing water to birds became one lakh. He runs the Dhanya Lottery Agency at Muppathadam and uses only his own money for services. About Rs 2 crore was spent in ten years of that 35 lakhs for pottery vessels. His lottery commission is also used for this service.
