PALAKKAD: Two siblings met with a tragic end after a half-built house collapsed at Karuvara hamlet in Attappady. The deceased have been identified as Aadhi (7) and Ajinesh (4). Their relative Abhinaya (6) sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment. The accident occurred in a tribal hamlet four kilometres inside the forest from Mukkali.

The injured children were taken to the hospital in a jeep belonging to the Forest Department. However, the lives of Aadhi and Ajinesh could not be saved. The accident occurred while the children were playing inside the half-built abandoned house located near their house. The house had been lying unfinished and unused for eight years. The children were playing on the sunshade of the building when it suddenly collapsed. The house had no roof. The bodies of the children have been kept at Kottathara Hospital.
