THRISSUR: A Station House Officer (SHO) was transferred for his act of producing three Kerala Students Union (KSU) activists with their heads wrapped in black cloth and handcuffed, in the court. The incident had sparked a controversy. Wadakkanchery SHO Shajahan has been transferred to the capital city.

ADGP S Sreejith issued the order from the police headquarters based on the commissioner's order. He was transferred at a time when the accused in the incident of KSU activists being made to wear black cloth, are to be produced before the court today. The order has asked him to immediately appear at the police headquarters.

The city police commissioner had filed a report against Shajahan, who has been consistently failing to maintain law and order. The order has not mentioned anything about making them wear the black cloth. Shajahan is presently facing two disciplinary proceedings.
