Wayanad or Rae Bareli? Rahul in dilemma, thousands attend welcome rally in Wayanad

rahul

MALAPPURAM: Rahul Gandhi came to thank the voters of Wayanad constituency who gave him victory with a huge majority. Activists arranged a grand welcome for Rahul when he reached Edavanna in Malappuram district, which is part of the constituency. He greeted thousands on a roadshow in an open jeep.

He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan, K C Venugopal, Ramesh Chennithala, MM Hassan and other leaders were also present for the reception. There were reports that Priyanka Gandhi would accompany Rahul but Priyanka did not attend.

'Elections were fought to protect the constitution. On the one hand, those who hold fast to the Constitution. Arbitrary decision makers on the other hand. The people of the country made them understand. Constitution is our pride. People reminded the Prime Minister not to touch it. Voters defeated arrogance with humbleness.

BJP lost in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister himself barely won. Narendra Modi has not got absolute power in India. God will do everything for the Prime Minister. I have to do it myself. Modi is controlled by a strange god. God says to give airports to Adani, the Prime Minister gives,' Rahul mocked. He said that he is in a big dilemma whether to stay in Wayanad or stay in Rae Bareli. During his speech, he raised the constitution.

After the reception at Edavanna, Rahul will reach Kalpatta around 2 pm. The welcome program is arranged at the new bus stand premises. Leaders including KC Venugopal and Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan will attend.
