KANNUR: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan had criticized Malappuram for unfair practices relating to the running of educational institutions. The Dewaswom Secretary of the Yogam, Arayakandi Santhosh, said that they will defend attempts to circle and attack Natesan over this.

Vellappally said that while institutions that pay salaries using government tax money are allowed, it should be ensured whether other backward classes have also received what they deserve. Santhosh also said that the move by some to crucify Natesan on that account is protestable.

Vellappally is not a leader who forgets history

Yogam Assistant Secretary K.A. Bahuleyan said that SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan should not be hunted down over his Malappuram speech. He only reflected the backwardness of his own community in the field of education in Malappuram. The speech is a reflection of the fact that governments are not doing anything for the educational, economic and social upliftment of the backward classes, especially the Ezhavas and related communities. Neither Vellappally nor the SNDP Yogam has ever taken any stand against the Muslim community.

The Muslim community has a history of joining hands with the Sree Narayana movements during the implementation of the Mandal Commission report and when the police atrocities took place in Sivagiri. Vellappally, who is moving forward with the Aruvippuram message, is not a leader who forgets those things. He also said that his statements should be viewed with sincerity.

Won’t allow Vellappally to be hunted for this

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad will not allow the SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan to be hunted in the name of the Malappuram issue. The minority Hindu community in Malappuram district is facing various difficulties and hardships. State President Viji Thampi and General Secretary Anil Vilayil informed that Vellappally Natesan has made it clear that the Hindus in the district do not have educational, social and economic justice.
