‘Heartbroken’; says Bollywood singer on CUSAT tragedy, accident just before music concert

KOCHI: Singer Nikita Gandhi said the accident news that led to the death of four in CUSAT, was heartbroken. It happened just before she could even leave for the venue for the music performance organized as part of the arts fest conducted every year by the school of engineering students of CUSAT.


The stampede occurred just before Nikita Gandhi was to come on the stage. ‘Heartbroken over the incident in Kochi. Such an unfortunate incident took place before she could even leave for the venue for the performance. No words are possibly enough to express this profound grief. My prayers go out to the families of the students,’ Nikita wrote on Instagram.

People outside rushed into the auditorium when it stared raining and this led to the stampede killing four. Many injured are undergoing treatment in various hospitals and the condition of four is stated to be serious.
