MALAPPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has criticized the Muslim League as subjugating to communal forces. "In the future, communal forces will swallow the League itself. If the Muslim League does not understand that this politics is dangerous, there will be a big disaster," said the Chief Minister. He was inaugurating the general meeting as part of the CPM Malappuram district conference.
"Jamaat-e-Islami has always been kept away by the Sunni faction. They are now working with the UDF. The Muslim League is now very hostile to them. This is dangerous," Pinarayi Vijayan pointed out. The Chief Minister said that they will not show any political wrongdoing for a few votes. "Minority communalism is not the cure for majority communalism. Majority communalism and minority communalism complement each other. Minority rights must be protected but it does not need to be subservient to communalism. Secularism is the antidote to communalism. However, Congress and BJP are unitedly opposing the government in Kerala. The position of the League and Congress that anyone can be accepted for few votes is dangerous," Pinarayi clarified.
