THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy denied reports that he was being denied further treatment. In a video shared on Facebook, Oommen Chandy said that he is getting good treatment and his family and party are giving good support. The explanation comes in the context of news spreading that Oommen Chandy is being denied treatment. Oommen Chandy's son Chandy Oommen shared the video on Facebook. Last day, Chandy Oommen had shared a Facebook post about this.

Chandy Oommen stated in the note that baseless news about Appa's treatment is coming out every day. After the laser surgery in Germany, the treatment started under Dr. Vishal Rao in Bangalore. Appa is still being given the medicines prescribed by him. The doctor prescribed a combination of medication, diet, physiotherapy, and speech therapy. He is under treatment since November 22. On December 26 and January 18, Appa was brought to Bangalore and a proper review took place. I returned home today evening after Bharat Jodo Yathra. The journey was interrupted due to heavy snowfall. It is time for the next review. I am preparing to go to Bangalore immediately after discussing things back home, Chandy Oommen said.
