After nine days' delay, fire force rescues dog that fell into well

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A stray dog, that fell into a abandanoed well at Kattachalkuzhi in Balaramapuram, was rescued. Kerala Kaumudi had reported the other day that even after nine days of falling into the well, there were no attempts from the fire force to rescue the animal. On Friday afternoon, the dog was taken out by the fire force unit from Vizhinjam. The dog came out through the net thrown in the well by fire force officials.

When inquried about the delay in rescue operations, fire force officials said they do not go to save the dogs and that there was an instruction from above regarding the same. Animal Rescue members has taken care of the dog. After Kerala Kaumudi published the news, many organizations including animal lovers came forward to save the dog. ​
