Two students killed as KSRTC bus hits bike in Kollam

KOLLAM: Two students met with a tragic end after a KSRTC bus hit a bike. The incident happened at Chadayamangalam in Kollam. The two have been identified as Abhijith (19) and Shikha (20), natives of Punalur. The KSRTC bus hit behind their bike.

The accident happened on the Nettethara M C Road Tuesday morning at 7.30 am. Abhijith is a native of Aikkarakonam in Punalur. Shikha was a second-year student of an engineering college in Kilimanoor. The KSRTC bus involved in the accident belonged to Chadayamangalam depot. The bus hit the bike while trying to overtake. In the impact, the two fell on the road. The bus ran over her head and the two died on the spot itself.
