KSRTC suspends six employees for serious disciplinary violations

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Road Transport Corporation has suspended six employees for serious disciplinary violations. The suspension is for incidents like rash driving, coming for duty after consuming liquor etc.

Driver R Binu of Chadayamangalam depot was one suspended for the accident that happened due to rash driving leading to the death of two college students. Conductor Biju Augustine of Moolamattam unit was also suspended for coming drunk in behavioral change training.


A S Biju Kumar, vehicle supervisor of Ernakulam depot, who came drunk and I R Shanu, blacksmith of Parassala depot, who transported goods, were suspended. General Inspector of Neyyattinkara Depot, T I Satish Kumar, who swindled medical funds, has also been suspended pending investigation.


Conductor P J Pradeep was also suspended for not issuing ticket to a passenger after charging money from him for luggage in Kozhikode depot.
