Vaidekam resort: Misused official position, committed corruption; ED and Vigilance should file a case against EP Jayarajan, says K Sudhakaran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Friday said that Vigilance and ED should file a case against CPM central committee member and LDF convener EP Jayarajan in the wake of the irregularities raised against Vaidekam resort. Sudhakaran demanded that the Vigilance should file a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Enforcement Directorate under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

"The construction of Vaidekam resort started and the investments started pouring in when Jayarajan was the Industries Minister. It is alleged that he had misused the official position and bought the investment by threatening many people. A case will have to be filed as direct and indirect intervention for the sake of family-owned resort falls within the ambit of corruption," Sudhakaran said.
