AGARTHALA: Manik Saha was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tripura for the second consecutive term today. Eight other ministers also took oath and assumed office.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang attended the ceremony at Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala.

Former Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb was also present on the stage. The BJP parliamentary party meeting held last Monday unanimously elected Saha as the leader. On May 15, 2022, the BJP leadership replaced Biplab Kumar Deb and chose Manik Saha as the Tripura Chief Minister.
