MUMBAI: Bollywood actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away following a heart attack early Thursday morning. He was 66. His close friend Anupam Kher informed this via twitter.
"I know that death is the ultimate truth but never in my dreams I thought that I would have to write that about my best friend Satish Kaushik. A sudden full stop to 45 years of friendship. Life will never be the same without you Satish! Om Shanti," Kher tweeted.
He was born on April 13 in 1956 in Haryana. Satish Kaushik is an accomplished actor, comedian, screenwriter, director and producer. His roles in the films Mr. India and Deewana Mastana were much noticed. He won the Filmfare Award for the best comedian. He leaves behind his wife and a daughter.
He was an ex-student of the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India.
Kaushik's last post on Twitter was a series of pictures from the annual Holi celebrations organized by noted lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar on March 7 in Mumbai.
