LUCKNOW: Policemen officials were suspended for allegedly taking a prisoner to a shopping mall in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow police said that SI Ramsevak, constables Anuj Dhama, Nitin Rana and Ramachandra Prajapati have been suspended for misconduct.

The said prisoner, Rishabh Rai, was arrested in June last year under the Arms Act. But the court allowed the accused to seek treatment at the government hospital on March 7 as he complained of some health problems.

Police officials were appointed to take Rai to the hospital and bring him back after treatment. But while returning from the hospital, the police took the accused to a shopping mall. Action was taken against them after videos and pictures of the accused going to the mall went viral on social media
