THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Kerala is likely to witness a spell of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning till April 2. Isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds blowing at 40 km per hour speed are very likely in certain places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Wayanad districts in the next three hours.

Fishermen and coastal residents have been advised to exercise caution. As rough waves are expected to worsen, people should move out of dangerous zones as directed by authorities.
