THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The higher education sector in Kerala is readying for a revamp, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The CM vouched to transform the educational sector akin to foreign countries allowing students to work part-time while moving on with their studies. The CM also assured of bringing more foreign students to Kerala to begin the facelift for the educational sector.

Almost 4% of students from Kerala are leaving annually for foreign countries in search of education. The educational institutions in Kerala have enough land that is hitherto untouched. More lands are marked for the start of the project. The project will emulate foreign countries where the students can run their studies parallel with jobs. With the rising ranks in education, the government hopes for more inflow of foreign students to Kerala. The climate and the peaceful abode of the southern tip are conducive to accommodate more students. CM labeled Kerala to become the next educational destination in the country.

The chief minister was talking in a television program conducted by the information and public relations department.
