Passenger of Marusagar Express stabbed; RPF nabs attacker

PALAKKAD: A passenger travelling in Marusagar Express was stabbed. The injured is Devdas, a native of Parappanangadi. The incident happened when the train reached Shornur. Siyad of Guruvayur, a co-passenger stabbed Devadas with a bottle near his eye.

It is heard that Siyad attacked him following a verbal dispute. The RPF caught him when he tried to flee. A case has been registered against him. Devan's injury is not serious. He was first admitted at Shornur Government Hospital and then to Kozhikode Medical College. The attacker also sustained injuries in his hands. When the train stopped at Shornur, the assailant took a bottle lying on the track, broke it, entered the train and stabbed Devdas.
