THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Professor GJ Shaiju has been removed from the post of principal in the case of SFI former area secretary impersonating the student who won the university union councilor from Kattakkada Christian College. Kerala University VC Dr. Mohan Kunnammel said that Shaiju has brought insult to the university.

Shaiju will be recommended to be suspended from the teaching post to the management. A complaint will be lodged with the police for cheating the university. A complaint will also be lodged against UUC Visakh for impersonation. Election expenses will be charged from Shiju. The VC also stated that he will be removed from the responsibilities including the examinations.

The college union will check the UC list sent from all the colleges regarding the election and senior officials will review the election. The university is limited to investigating further. The result should be communicated to the university at the end of the election itself. Kattakkada College elections have not been canceled and the UU list has been requested to be provided within a week. It will be verified and published on the website. There will be an opportunity to lodge complaints if any. The VC also informed that the university union elections will be held after this.
