THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A two-member commission has been formed by CPM to investigate the impersonation fraud that happened at Kattakada Christian College. The CPM Thiruvananthapuram district secretary took the decision and named MLA D K Murali and Pushpalatha consisting commission to look into the anomalies in elections that brought shame to SFI in the state. The commission will look for any involvement of CPM members in the fraud and will submit the report at the earliest. Days before, MLA I B Sathish and G Stephen wrote to the party to initiate an investigation into the issue.

Meanwhile, the Kattakada College SFI impersonation case has an update. The Police registered cases against the former principal in charge G J Shaiju and SFI leader Visakh. The charges include impersonation, betrayal of faith, and forging documents among many others. The Kattakada police registered the case after receiving a complaint from the varsity.

On the day of the incident, KSU state president Aloshious Xavier wrote a complaint to the police but was denied proper action. However, the police were forced to take action after the varsity itself complained the same to the police.

The syndicate meeting also assigned a registrar to initiate criminal cases against Shaiju for duping the university. Meanwhile, Shaiju won't be allowed to intrude in any matters or examinations of Kerala University for the coming five years. Meanwhile, the CSIB-led college management is also moving ahead with an investigation.
