BHUVANESWAR: Mangoes worth Rs 2.5 lakh per kg in the international market were found stolen. The mango was stolen from a farm in Odisha's Nuapada. Lakshmi Narayanan, the owner of the farm, had shared the picture of the ripe mangoes on social media. The theft happened after this.

Lakshmi Narayanan cultivated mangoes of 38 varieties. Lakshmi Narayanan said that he shared the pictures out of joy and pride when he saw the exceptionally priced mangoes ripe. However, the mangoes were stolen even before a day of posting it. Now the other farmers in the village are worried that their farms will also be stolen.

Recently, the world's most expensive Japanese Miyazaki variety of mango has hit the social media. Rs 40,000 for a single mango was what made it remarkable. This red colored mango is also the king when it comes to taste. This mango is also nicknamed 'Egg of the Sun'.
