Man urinates on tribal youth's face; CM orders NSA against accused

BHOPAL: In the most dehumanizing of incidents, a man urinated on the face of a tribal native in Madhya Pradesh. The tribal man is a common face on the streets and is suffering from mental imbalance. The accused has been identified as Pravesh Shukla, who is also a BJP functionary in the state.

The degrading incident happened in Sidhi district. The video of the same also got viral on social media leading to the issue getting national attention. According to reports, Pravesh is a close acolyte of Sidhi MLA Kedarnath Shukla.

The big clamor for arrest happened after the incident reached the public eye. Cognizing the situation, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asked authorities to invoke National Security Act against the accused which allows for detention for up to a year without trial.
