Rajamouli opts Mahesh Babu movie; S S Karthikeya to direct RRR-2

After creating a ripple effect with cinematic brilliance that even won Hollywood's attention, the makers of RRR are planning for the second venture of the story named precociously RRR-2. The first venture of the movie took director Rajamouli to the crescendo of recognition, even earning a prized pat on the back from film luminaries like Steven Spielberg and James Cameroon. Interestingly, now, it won't be Rajamouli who will be directing the second part but his son Karthikeya. RRR was written by Rajamoulis's father Koduri Viswa Vijayendra Prasad who will write again the second part.

Karthikeya was the first assistant director in RRR and had a great rapport with the whole team. Meanwhile, it is rumored that both Ram Charan and Jr NTR will be retained for the second franchise but it won't be a sequel like the spread of word in media. The movie will highlight the freedom struggles during the British era with a spotlight on the Telugu hinterlands. The shooting will begin next year.

However, S S Rajamouli is busy with the pre-production works for his movie with actor Mahesh Babu.
