WASHINGTON: Caught while smuggling Spider monkeys. US Border Patrol agents intercepted an attempt to smuggle seven Spider monkeys. The incident took place in Brownsville, Texas, US-Mexico. The accused were arrested after receiving a tip-off about the illegal smuggling of endangered Spider monkeys across the border.

The US Border Patrol shared the video of the incident on social media. The smugglers put the baby spider monkeys inside a bag after punching small holes in it. The accused was arrested by the police. The captured monkeys were turned over to the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Information about the health status of the Spider monkeys has not been released. Spider monkeys, an endangered species, are found in the northern regions of the Amazon River and the tropical rainforests of South America.
