air-india

New Delhi: Air India is reportedly changing the traditional attire of its female cabin crew members. For 60 years Air India's female cabin crew members have been wearing the saree. It is reported that the new uniform will be introduced by November. Renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra will design the new uniforms for Air India's female cabin crew members. But Manish Malhotra has not officially responded about this.

It is reported that the airline has been given various options for the uniform. It also includes ready-to-wear sarees. Not much information has come out about the uniforms from the management side. Air India CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson said the airline's revamped look will be seen when the Airbus A350 aircraft arrives, which is expected in October or November. In 1962, JRD Tata introduced the saree, replacing the previous uniform for women cabin crew members.
