Death threats for Shah Rukh Khan, security beefed up to Y plus category 

MUMBAI: After the success of his recent films Pathaan and Jawan, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has complained of receiving death threats. Following this, the Mumbai Police has provided Y Plus category security to the actor. Both of the actor’s recently released films were huge hits.

With the introduction of Y Plus security, Shah Rukh Khan will now have six-armed security personnel around him. Two security personnel were with him earlier. The actor had written to the Maharashtra government stating that he was receiving constant death threats. The government decided to increase the security of the actor following that.

Actor Salman Khan was also provided Y Plus category security after receiving death threats. Salman Khan received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi group. Shah Rukh Khan has received several death threats from the Mumbai underworld gang. Recently, director Sanjay Gupta shared a post on social media about Shah Rukh Khan's determination and the challenges he faces from gangsters.

Jawan, which released on September 7, collected 75 crores on its first day, the highest opening collection in the Hindi film world. It earned over 400 crores in India alone. Jawan has crossed the Hindi collection of KGF 2. After Pathan, Bahubali, The Conclusion and Gadar 2, Jawan is the highest grossing Hindi film in India. Jawan is Tamil director Atlee's Bollywood debut.
