KOZHIKODE: While the war between Israel and Hamas continues, Congress Working Committee member Shashi Tharoor MP referred to Hamas as terrorists. Speaking as the chief guest at the Palestine Solidarity Rally organized by the Muslim League at Kozhikode Beach, Shashi Tharoor said that Israel's revenge for the attack carried out by Hamas terrorists in Israel was excessive.

"What is happening in Gaza is a human rights violation. In the 19-day war, more deaths have occurred than in the last 15 years. Gandhiji once said that if people go on to take revenge as an eye for an eye, the world will become blind. On seeing this huge crowd, I know where the people's minds and hearts are. Everyone wants this war to stop. What is seen in Palestine is a violation of humanitarian law. Terrorists attacked Israel. They killed more than 14000 people there. About 200 people were taken hostage, and in return, more than 6,000 people were killed in Gaza. The bombing is still not over. How many children will be killed before the war ends?" Shashi Tharoor said.

Muslim League State President Sadiq Ali Thangal inaugurated the concluding meeting held at Kozhikode Beach. Sadiq Ali Thangal said that the central government's stance of justifying Israel is objectionable. He added that what is happening in Palestine is the resistance towards Israeli invasion.
