ALAPPUZHA: Hindu Aikya Vedi state president K P Sasikala wants matters related to faith to go in its own way. While talking to the media, she said political parties should stand where they should stand and there should be no political intervention including that of the BJP in temples.

‘You will have noticed the controversial order. It said that temples should not be decorated in one color. Isn't this a democratic system? Is it people at the top who have to decide how to decorate. Or should it be decided by the advisory committee of that temple. Or devotees of the temple. They are the ones who should decide what color they want there.

We know what color you fear. We have no problem with that. If saffron is feared, it is the foundation of Indian culture. If that is what you are afraid of, then we have no problem.

What will they do if the devotees wear saffron clothes together? Can it be controlled or banned? Did they believe that the foundation of Hinduism lies in the two decorations hanging across the sky? Why acting like this? If you say no one color, can there be two or three. It is understood that there should be nothing representing party symbols or emblems. It should not be of any movement, clarified Sasikala. Meantime, she also clarified that the Hindu organizations have no intention of taking the temple administration from the CPM and giving it to the BJP.
