What is wrong with what Tharoor said? He will not say without learning, says Suresh Gopi; don’t twist words: Kunhalikutty

KOZHIKODE: Actor and former MP Suresh Gopi reacted to MP Shashi Tharoor's remark that Hamas is a terrorist organization. There is nothing wrong in saying that Hamas committed terrorist acts. Suresh Gopi said that he had earlier stated that Hamas is the enemy of the Muslim race. Tharoor also meant the same, he said.

‘There is nothing wrong in Shashi Tharoor’s statement? Aren't Congressmen humans? Whether it is Congress, BJP or Muslim League, they are all human beings. Shouldn't they have their say? They can tell what they saw and understood. A person like Shashi Tharoor will not opine without going through it.

I have said earlier that Hamas is the enemy of Muslims and not Israel. I told this to the Israeli Malayalees who called from there. Hamas is the enemy of the Muslim race. Muslims have to finish them off.

He also meant the same and there is no mistake. He is a staunch Congress supporter. He is a companion of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Narasimha Rao and others. Meantime, P K Kunhalikutty said that no one should try to twist the words of the leaders in the rally. Kunhalikutty clarified that Shashi Tharoor's participation in the Kozhikode rally was to get international attention and the rally had a big purpose.

'Don't try to twist the words of the speech. There are some centers who are trying to do that. We have understood who they are. Holding a rally like this is not easy. The Muslim League managed to conduct a serious matter with discipline. The rally was widely discussed. Even the international media took over and it will not end with one rally. The issue is solidarity with Palestine. Anyone who speaks against this will be cruel to a nation.

Tharoor said that he is with Palestine. There is no need to make it an issue. He will give another explanation. Don't just stick to one line and try to eliminate the Palestinian issue. Everyone including M K Muneer and Samadhani said Muslim League's stand on the issue. There is not much more to say about it,' added Kunhalikutty.
