The footage of the incident which took place on the 28th of last month at Onnanthippady in Palakkad district has come out today. The toddler was one year old. Only the child and mother were at home at the time of the incident.

In the video, the child is attempting to stroll from the house into the road with a toy in his hand. The child almost reached the Koppam-Valanchery road in front of the house. In the footage, vehicles including a goods van moving at high speed can be seen.

A car also passed by that time. The car passengers came back after noticing the child standing alone on the roadside. It was one of the passengers who dropped the child back home. It is not clear who these passengers are. The parents told the police that the child accidentally went out through the front door of the house which was left open by mistake. The police instructed the house owner to secure the house by building a protective wall.
