Promising to get him married to Inforpark employee, lottery saleswoman scams man off six lakh rupees

MUVATTUPUZHA: Lottery saleswoman arrested for impersonating and cheating a man off lakhs. Koothattukulam police arrested Shaila (57) a native of Marady Pallikkavu. The victim of fraud was a man from the Chorakuzhi area.

According to the Police: Shaila sent a photo of a woman to the man saying that she would arrange their marriage. He was made to believe that the girl's name is Sona and that she works in Infopark. Shaila then kept in touch with the young man on the phone saying that she was Sona. The case is that she scammed about six lakh rupees from the man saying that her parents were not well. Realizing that the whole thing was a scam, the man filed a complaint with the police.

DySP Mohammad Riaz, Inspector PJ Noble, SI KP Sajevan, ASI Anilkumar, Senior CPOs EK Manoj, IC Mol, Manjushree and Sreejamol were part of the investigation team.
