Eight school children injured in autorickshaw-lorry collision, one in critical condition

VISAKHAPATNAM: In Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam, an autorickshaw carrying school children rammed into a lorry at high speed. On collision, the autorickshaw overturned and some children went flying out of it. The autorickshaw was carrying eight students. A nearby CCTV caught the incident on camera.

The accident happened to the students who were going to school at 7.40 am. The accident took place under the flyover near Sangam-Sarat Junction in Visakhapatnam. The locals who were helped with the rescue operation.

The injured children were admitted to the hospital. Four of them were sent back home. The police informed that the condition of a child in the hospital is critical.

The drivers of both the vehicles have been taken into custody by the police. Senior police officer Srinivasa Rao said that they are checking whether the lorry has permission to cross the busy road at this time.
