NEW DELHI: Acting on information that a Pakistan-backed terrorist organization was operating in the country with the aim of carrying out terror attacks, the NIA conducted raids in four states, including Kerala. In Kerala, the inspection was conducted in Kozhikode. The investigation focused on people associated with the organization Ghazwa-e-Hind.
Apart from Kozhikode in Kerala, the inspection was also conducted in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Gir Somnath in Gujarat and Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. Further details of the inspection were not made available.
The Ghazwa-e-Hind Terrorist Module Case is an ongoing investigation into an alleged terrorist module that is operating in Bihar. The module is suspected of having links with Pakistan-based terrorist organizations and planning to carry out attacks in India.
Bihar Police had earlier arrested Marghoob Ahmad Danish, who was carrying out terrorist activities in different parts of the country, including explosions. In the investigation conducted on him, it was found that he had planned attacks in various states by using youth as members, including on social media.
