KTR targets Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi; Telangana gears up for polling booths tomorrow

HYDERABAD: Both the BRS and Congress BJP parties organized massive rallies and road shows in the state. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi led the Congress rallies, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah led the BJP rally on the 27th.

The BRS rallies were helmed by Party Working President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao's son, KT Rama Rao. Rao's daughter K Kavitha worked in Nizamabad and nearby districts.

The significance of women voters is crucial in the Telangana assembly elections this time.

KT Rama Rao arrived at the road show's starting point via helicopter and later boarded a specially prepared vehicle. Hours before KTR's arrival dancing and singing would commence. Police eventually closed the road around 6 PM, allowing access only to party members for over two hours without complaints.

On one side of the stage, the song 'Jai Telangana...' would kick off, signaling KTR's imminent arrival with the song 'Mana KTR aru vastannaru....'(Our KTR is coming). KTR would join the enthusiastic activists amidst roaring cheers. His appearance would be followed by welcoming gestures, gratitude, and a keynote speech delivered by KTR himself. Candidates from the area simply boarded the vehicle and stood there with folded hands.

During the speech, KTR primarily criticized Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka. He highlighted Rahul Gandhi's past loss of employment in 2014 questioning whether Rahul had ever taken an entrance exam or worked in the private sector. KTR expressed regret that Priyanka seemed unaware of the injustices faced by PV Narasimha Rao, a Congress loyalist whose contributions were disrespected by the party even after his demise, when they denied his body entry to the AICC head office.
