Another abduction bid in Kollam; girl had a narrow escape

kidnap

KOLLAM: A complaint has been lodged to the police over an attempt to abduct another student in Kollam in the same manner as that of the kidnap of Abigail Sara. There was an abduct to abduct a 12-year-old girl who was going to her tuition class at Valakam in Kottarakkara. The girl told police that the team, who came in a van, tried to push her inside to the van forcibly but she managed to escape from her hands.

The incident happened Wednesday evening around 4:30. However, the Kottarakkara police said there is a need to clarify on the things she said and that a detailed investigation is being conducted.

When she came near the vehicle parked on the roadside, the van drove towards her. Two men in the back seat grabbed the rope of her bag and tried to push her into the vehicle.
The people in the van threw her bag away. They later caught her hand and tried to forcibly push her into the vehicle, but she escaped from their hands. She then reached her tuition class and told them. The girl said that after she escaped from them, the vehicle suddenly entered the main road and drove towards Anchal.

The police reached the spot and collected the CCTV visuals from the nearby firms and have started an investigation.
