THRISSUR: A youngster who tried to run into the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ stage was stopped by police and was later taken into custody. The incident took place in Vadakkencherry. A man named Rafeeq was arrested for trying to interrupt the event attended by the CM. Rafeeq headed straight to the stage just moments after CM Pinarayi Vijayan finished his address.
Police acted quickly and stopped the man from entering the stage. He was later dragged out of the event where the visuals showed Rafeeq arguing with the cops. It is being said that Rafeeq decided to run into the stage in frustration with the government for not resolving his long-lodged complaint with the CM's office.
At the same time, AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal ridiculed the 'Nava Kerala Sadas' as nothing but an ostentatious show-off. He said the people are being treated as inferiors and mentioned that no people’s problems would get resolved in this posh show.
“ The CM and his minister entourage only meet elites in society. The reason why people come with complaints is the poor governance of LDF during the last seven years. ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ is a PR extravagance done just to rope in some votes before the Lok Sabha elections” Venugopal said.
